Have a personal blog page?
For membes in the Dwarvenhole guild in Guild Wars, a link can be added to take people to their blog page from here. Just leave a comment on this post and it can be added. Please note what you'd like the link to say and the entire url. I'm horrible when it comes to checking my email, or checking the email account set up for Dwarvenhole. If we get a lot of members and there ends up being a lot of links, it will change to have links to personal blogs in it's own page on the web site: http://freewebs.com/dwarvenhole.

Blogger.com blog vs. blog provided with web page
Originally, before the web page, I'd created this blog page for Dwarvenhole. Once I created the web page, I noticed that it comes with a tool to add a blog page. I was thinking of just using the blog page provided with the web page, but messed around and tested and found out that it would require the username and password for the site to post a blog on that blog. Whereas with blogger.com, authors could be added. The authors could use their own email address and password. Besides, I know people like to experiment, me included. I'd prefer to have everyone that joins the guild have the ability to post blogs, not just comment on a blog (boring). This is where the experimentation comes in. If I gave everyone the username and password for the web site, I think it would be an ever changing site; well for about a week or so after a new member is added. It's a cheap free website, but hey, if I could afford a domain, I'd probably be playing WoW (hey, if I had the money I figure WoW would be a good thing to waste it on each month, but alas, in Utah the cost of living goes up while the wages don't). I figured that the Dwarvenhole guild just as well have a web site and blog page though so everyone (new members included) had a way of communicating without having to be in the game. The web site should be accessible on any computer with access to the Internet (that IT has not locked down of course), while Guild Wars is only accessible on computers that have it installed. So that's why the blog page link brings you to a blogger.com site in a nut shell. ;-)

Worthy Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) [EOTN]
The quest Worthy Deeds (Done Dirt Cheap) took a while for me. I found two of the three on the lake. One of the ones to defeat, is at the North end, it's one of the Shiverpeak centaur things. It died without me even knowing it was there. The next one is more toward the center of the ice lake. It's a wraith-like thing. She had a lot flying around her. I finally killed her at -30% penalty. The final one is not on the lake. I got rid of my -30% penalty just looking for it. It's in a cave on the Southeast section of the area. It's between two res shrines, just follow the white rabbit. Walk up close to the tree in the center. Prepare to finally win at -60% penalty. About 40 shadow things appear and start pounding on you. I ended up with 335 kills in the whole area (tip for those wanting Norn reputation). Aren't you glad you talked to one of the Norn's at the closest res shrine? As there are two shrines, which one you come to life at depends on where you are in the cave. Once you get the quest completed, you get a skill called: You move like a Dwarf. It knocks an opponent over, deals damage and cripples them. The amount of damage and length of time of the cripple is determined by your Norn reputation. Slayer of Beasts, here I come!

Money Farming part 2
Hey guys, I found another location to farm for gold, but it is in Nightfall. Once through the mission at the Consulate Docks, you arrive in Yohlon Haven. The area northwest of there has a lot of enemies. Whenever they drop stuff, the items value 20+ gold when sold, and they typically drop over 80 gold, but I've seen in the 70s a few times and from the few level 16 bugs in the 60s. It is also a great place to farm for Sunspear Promotion Points!! Be sure to talk to the wandering priests at each shrine. When you kill the enemies in the bounty, you get double XP and 4 Sunspear Promotion Points per kill. From roughly 1700 promotion points, I did a few of the quests, but mostly farmed and I got Sunspear General within a few hours of landing in Yohlon Haven. Happy farming!!!
By the way, here is a detailed map of Elonia and sorry about the font size, it didn't want to word wrap, it would just fade out at the end of the link:

Great News
I set it up so that you can send an email to dwarvenhole.post@blogger.com so that it goes into the drafts. Once in the drafts, one of the authors can click on Customize then Dashboard. If already in Dashboard, where it says manage, click on Posts. In the list of posts, it says draft that you can edit then post. Be sure to click Publish Post at the bottom. This post is an example of what I had just set up. -Donnie

Money Farming
I found a great place in the Crystal Desert to farm for gold. It is to the East of Elona Reach. The gold dropped is 80+ gp and the items usually fetch around 20+ gp when sold to a merchant. I run around killing all of the enemies. Sometimes I don't get much, but other times, I can make over 1k. The typical run gets me around 600 to 800 gp.
Anyway, I need to get a few more of you there so I can run around splitting gold with you guys, rather than henchman and heroes. That way we can have more funding to purchase things for the guild hall.
I almost got Ben there last night, but about half way through the mission, he dropped off. We were so close to getting to the desert. To use the teleporters, if you go exploring, stand in the circle of runes and watch the four posts. The posts light up in the order that you need to touch them. Don't worry if you miss it, it starts over after a few seconds.
Watch out though when first stepping out of the Amnoon Oasis. Pesky Jade Scarabs like to suprise you by coming out of the ground right when you start a fight with something else. Tread lightly until you get to one of the teleporters, after that, if headed toward Augory Rock, it's mostly Minotaurs (which I want their horns by the way, just 4 more).
By the way, here's a better map of Tyria, which is really big:

Blog news
Ok, so we have a guild hall with a xunlai chest. I'd like to invite any who join the guild to be authors of this blog. I don't know Kenneth or Micah's email addresses, so I'd need them (once Kenneth finally lets us know when he gets Guid Wars). Or, of course, I've sent an email to Ben and Zack with the login as the administrator and password. First thing I'd like is a merchant (currently 25k). Before getting a weaponsmith (currently 10k), I'd prefer to get a material and rare material trader (both currently 100k) so we can just purchase the materials needed and buy a weapon without having to hunt for them in town. I have a place for money farming as well. I put it in my personal blog page (link to Donnie's Blog) of how to farm for money in one location. -Donnie
